As a Nurse Care Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing Workers' Compensation claims for patients with complex medical conditions requiring in-depth assessment and effective case management. On average, you will manage 50-60 cases, each presenting varying degrees of complexity and acuity. Your collaborative efforts with claims staff, injured workers, employers, and healthcare professionals will focus on promoting high-quality medical care and facilitating timely returns to work. Key Responsibilities: Utilize clinical tools, telephonic interviews, and comprehensive data assessments to evaluate the biopsychosocial factors affecting recovery and return to work. Apply critical thinking and extensive clinical expertise to craft actionable, individualized recovery strategies for injured workers. Identify complex situations requiring effective communication with both internal and external partners to clarify the injury mechanism, causality, and potential for return to work. Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, policies, and regulatory standards, while integrating resources to support eligibility determinations. Adopt a holistic approach to manage medical and rehabilitation activities for accurate, expedited treatment and return-to-work plans. Collaborate with supervisors and other stakeholders to address barriers and enhance overall claim management through proactive engagement. Qualifications: Current, unrestricted RN licensure is required. Associate degree in Nursing necessary; Bachelor's degree preferred. A minimum of 3 years of clinical practice experience is required. Workers' Compensation case management experience is advantageous. CCM certification (CDMS, CRC, CVE, and/or CRRN) is preferred or a willingness to pursue certification. Key Competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point) and familiarity with multiple systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to perform sedentary work requiring prolonged periods of sitting, communication, and computer use. Capable of close inspection of documents and screens. Skilled in synthesizing extensive medical records and coordinating multi-faceted care. Efficiency in meeting productivity and quality standards. Ability to independently organize and prioritize tasks effectively. Remote candidates will have flexibility, attending the office as needed. Preference for candidates residing in the Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zones. Compensation: The anticipated annual salary range for this role is $69,600 - $104,400, subject to variation based on performance and specific competencies.
