Job Summary and Qualifications The Night Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while overseeing all operations in the unit during night shifts. Collaborating closely with management, the CNC will monitor and evaluate nursing care, serve as a resource for staff, and embody the organization's mission and values to promote exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate efficient admission and discharge processes, ensuring optimal patient flow and care quality. Assess the quality of care delivered in the unit continuously, working in concert with management. Foster teamwork by collaborating with experts and other managers to enhance patient outcomes. Champion a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary. Enhance staff engagement through initiatives like employee and hourly rounding. Contribute to recruitment, selection, and training of new team members and make recommendations regarding performance evaluations and any necessary disciplinary actions. Assist with staff scheduling, balancing patient care needs with established productivity standards. Ensure effective management of supplies and equipment through proper inventory control. Qualifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 60 days of employment. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment. Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course completion required within 1 year of employment. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training required within 90 days of employment. Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification required within 60 days of employment. Trauma Nursing Core Course completion required within 1 year of employment. Must be a Registered Nurse (RN). Neonate Resuscitation or similar qualifications must be obtained within 1 year of employment.
