Purpose of Position / SummaryJob Description: Provide technical assistance and customer support for the Florida Department of Health - Bureau of Communicable Diseases Patient Care Programs. The role involves assisting program participants and staff by resolving inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining accurate records. The specialist will perform administrative and clerical tasks, ensure proper data entry, and support daily program operations while delivering high-quality customer service. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical assistance and respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or other communication channels. Deliver excellent customer service to program participants, healthcare partners, and internal staff. Perform accurate data entry, record maintenance, and documentation of customer interactions. Troubleshoot basic system or program issues and escalate complex problems when necessary. Maintain and update program databases and files using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Assist with administrative and clerical tasks to support program operations. Ensure compliance with department policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards. Prepare reports, correspondence, and program documentation as required. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of customer service experience. At least 2 years of clerical experience, including data entry and troubleshooting tasks. 3 years of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Demonstrated professional office experience in an administrative or support role. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
