job summary: A QA Engineer is needed for a multinational automotive corporation in the Jacksonville, FL area. This role requires 7+ years of automotive engineering experience to lead root cause investigations, optimize quality processes, and negotiate warranty chargebacks with global suppliers. location: Jacksonville, Florida job type: Contract salary: $37.85 - 41.42 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Analyze defective field parts and warranty returns to identify new quality issues and root causes. Lead cross-functional task forces with internal departments and suppliers to develop technical countermeasures. Negotiate warranty cost chargebacks with localized suppliers in the USA and Mexico based on analysis results. Document technical findings in IT systems and monitor field warranty data to adjust parts routing. Conduct supplier audits and site visits to ensure warranty processes comply with VDA standards. Optimize existing quality processes to increase efficiency and support global engineering networks. Supervise and guide technicians to ensure accurate parts handling and timely processing. Train and mentor other engineers on quality management and technical analysis. Apply statistical analysis and precision measurement techniques to ensure maximum production efficiency. Skills: Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Edcuation and Experience: Bachelor's degree (accredited school) or equivalent work experience with emphasis in Engineering and/or Quality Management.
