Senior Marine Cost Estimator Specialist

Our Project Services division is recognized as an industry leader in delivering exceptional cost estimating services. We are seeking an accomplished Senior Cost Estimator with expertise in marine estimating for projects with capital costs ranging from $25M to $25B. In this pivotal role, you will support a variety of projects and clients nationwide, including piers, dry docks, flood walls, and breakwaters. While the position is primarily remote, being ideally located near a Jacobs office is preferred. Your responsibilities will include reviewing design documents, proposals, specifications, and drawings, participating in design development meetings, and assessing risk and cost impacts to develop comprehensive estimates. As part of a knowledgeable and supportive team, you will: Develop capital cost estimates for complex heavy civil/marine projects. Review contractor proposals for diverse procurement types. Examine and validate change orders. Engage with clients to present detailed capital cost estimates. Maintain organized and comprehensive project files, records, and logs. Attend project meetings as required. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. 10-15 years of estimating and construction experience. Proficient in MS Office and estimating software. Must be a US Citizen. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. Experience with MII (MCACES 2nd generation) estimating software. Familiarity with HCSS Heavy Bid estimating software. Expertise in alternative delivery procurement. Strong understanding of the relationship between cost, risk, and schedule.
