RN Registered Nurse Hospice Gardner/Athol service area

Description Looking for part -time and full-time nurse(s) to work in our hospice team in the Gardner and Athol area. Responsible to the Hospice Clinical Supervisor for implementation, coordination, and supervision of all aspects of the delivery of patient/family services, consistent with agency policies. As a member of the team, the nurse works under the general direction of the Hospice Officer and the Attending physician/Hospice Medical Director in the provision of care to maximize comfort and health of patients and families. RequirementsA registered professional nurse in the State of Massachusetts. A community health nurse preferred with a current license to practice as a registered professional nurse in the State of Massachusetts. An RN with at least one year of nursing experience in the community within the past six years. Demonstrated willingness and/or ability to manage all aspects of terminal care with specific expertise in crisis intervention, family counseling, pain and symptom control and bedside nursing. Demonstrated ability to execute a supportive, sensitive approach to peers, patients and families. Basic knowledge of computer use.
