Summary: Join Meta Reality Labs as a Materials Program Manager for New Product Launches, where you will be pivotal in shaping our material strategy. You'll oversee the material budget, ensure readiness, and manage material excess and obsolescence. Your role will focus on pre-production material planning, forecasting, and supply readiness to support new product development and supply qualification for all Reality Labs products from proof of concept through design verification testing. Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including TPM, EE, GSM, PD, PCE, OPM, and Contract Manufacturers, to ensure readiness for NPI builds, address component shortages, and devise effective supply solutions that minimize risks. Work closely with Contract Manufacturers and Engineering to explore sourcing opportunities, including multiple or alternative sources, and facilitate procurement kickoffs. Partner with Hardware Engineering and Contract Manufacturing to develop a robust configuration plan aimed at qualifying suppliers and simplifying manufacturing processes. Monitor material expenditures against engineering budgets, actively managing excess and obsolescence throughout the product lifecycle. Conduct regular reviews to proactively address material shortages in collaboration with GSM, Planning, OPM, and Quality teams. Oversee daily operations and communications with external partners, serving as the escalation point for urgent issues. Lead the transition of the supply chain from engineering to volume production, managing BOM release timelines and ensuring component detail alignment with cross-functional teams. Minimum Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in material management, supply chain, or purchasing in a high-volume hardware sector. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills in managing multiple manufacturing sites. Familiarity with Engineering component matrices to drive effective product qualification. Experience in managing high-volume consumer electronics product launches. Strong ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Capability to develop data models independently or enhance tools with IT teams for improved efficiency. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated proficiency in data-driven problem-solving and decision-making, using Excel, VBA, SQL, or Tableau. Experience navigating complex supply chains, preferably with OEM/ODM/JDM management experience. Strong communication skills to prepare and present information effectively to leadership. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations Engineering, or related fields.
