Job Description Join Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's dynamic architecture development team as a Senior Principal Software Engineer specializing in GPU platform software and system innovation. We are at the forefront of AI advancements, exploring next-generation AI accelerators and hardware solutions. As a vital member of our team, you will prototype and optimize cutting-edge AI hardware and custom-designed AI chips. Your work will significantly contribute to the development and enhancement of our Cloud AI Infrastructure platforms. Your responsibilities will include defining and overseeing platform development, conducting design reviews, integrating systems, and performing thorough performance testing and characterization. Collaborate closely with our GPU IC suppliers and internal hardware and software teams to enhance Oracle's AI Cloud platform offerings, shaping the future of AI hardware for machine and deep learning applications. Responsibilities Assess system architecture and analyze implementation pathways. Work in collaboration with hardware teams on AI hardware platform development, deployment, and troubleshooting. Benchmark and analyze the performance of AI accelerators from emerging hardware vendors. Compare new AI accelerators with industry-standard hardware for training and inference tasks. Create tools and processes for evaluating hardware performance in real-world AI applications. Enhance performance optimization algorithms for AI models on the hardware. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Over 10 years of software development experience. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, GoLang, C#, or other object-oriented languages. In-depth knowledge of AI/GPU platform architecture. Experience with large-scale, distributed services infrastructure. Hands-on experience with GPU supplier test code and open-source AI tools. Expertise in the architecture and implementation of modern server platforms. Strong debugging skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis. Excellent problem-solving skills along with effective communication and ownership drive. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading large-scale cloud services projects. Development experience on public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Oracle. Familiarity with AI accelerator chips. Knowledge of AI benchmarks and performance tools. Understanding of AI model optimization techniques for hardware acceleration. Experience running firmware and system diagnostics tools, and proficiency in scripting custom tests. Salary Range Information: US: Hiring range from $96,800 to $251,600 per annum, with eligibility for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
