Your Role: In this position, you will directly engage with our primary customers, the independent Property and Casualty Retail Agents. You will represent either our contract or brokerage carriers, responsible for soliciting, underwriting, marketing, and securing coverage for our clients within the excess and surplus lines marketplace. Relationship-building skills are essential as you collaborate with partners to develop a profitable book of business. Key Responsibilities: Develop strong relationships with retail insurance agents to drive new business through effective sales and marketing techniques. Foster connections with our in-house binding and brokerage markets. Creatively assess accounts and negotiate terms. Manage accounts of all sizes throughout their lifecycle, partnering with support teams to address service issues promptly. Maintain a professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude consistently. Participate in company-approved conferences, seminars, and educational activities to stay informed on industry developments, trends, and regulations. What We're Looking For: To excel in this role, you should demonstrate exceptional competency in the following areas: Minimum 3 years of experience in a wholesale broker/MGA or carrier role, preferably in excess and surplus lines. A sales-driven individual who excels at establishing new relationships and learning effective communication strategies. Energetic, self-motivated, and goal-oriented, thriving in a team-oriented environment. Strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance, including coverages, rating, terminology, and technical procedures. Required: P&C License; E&S License preferred but not mandatory. Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Reader, and other Windows-based applications. Ability to quickly learn new software and applications.
