The CFO will be responsible for a wide range of financial activities, including premium rate development, actuarial services, budget analysis and management, financial modeling and reporting, cost-benefit analysis, and forecasting. This role also involves overseeing non-financial departments such as claims, property management, facilities, business continuity, medical economics, and risk score management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Medi-Cal/Medicaid health plan finance, with a focus on the rate-setting process, and a proven ability to collaborate with state partners. The CFO will be expected to be a strategic thinker, a data-informed decision-maker, and an engaging leader who is passionate about team development. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a managed care environment, and a similar tenure in staff management. Experience with Medi-Cal or Medicaid is essential, and existing relationships with relevant state partners are preferred. The CFO will be responsible for ensuring the financial sustainability of the organization, providing quality financial analyses for decision-making, and actively participating in strategic and operational planning. Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative leadership style, and a commitment to the values of transparency, partnership, and community impact are also key attributes for the role.
