Position Summary: We invite you to be a part of our team as a Retail Loss Prevention Specialist. In this vital role, your main objective will be to prevent loss and ensure safety within our retail environment. By actively deterring theft and implementing robust internal controls, you will play a key role in enhancing our store's profitability while embodying the values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Key Responsibilities: Exemplify outstanding customer service and inspire your colleagues to do the same. Identify, deter, and if necessary, apprehend individuals involved in theft. Address instances of customer and associate dishonesty proactively to reduce theft. Monitor high-shrink areas within the store to prevent loss. Promptly report incidents and findings to the Asset Protection Manager. Cultivate positive relationships with customers and associates through effective communication and training. Provide reliable court testimony as needed. Identify and assess locations within the store that are particularly vulnerable to theft. Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures at all times. Integrate company initiatives into daily operations for enhanced effectiveness. Be adaptable to working various shifts, including overtime and weekends, as required. Carry out all essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: Familiarity with corporate policies and the organizational structure of the company. Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field is preferred. Prior experience in retail security is highly desirable. Experience in law enforcement is an advantageous plus. A commitment to ongoing education and training in loss prevention. A high school diploma or GED, or equivalent education and experience is required. Minimum age requirement of 18 years; 21 years for specific roles. Must successfully pass a drug test. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Capability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Strong organizational and prioritization skills are essential. Familiarity with loss prevention principles and industry terminology. Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
