As an Analyst in Data Science & Analytics for Consumables Pricing, you will: Utilize advanced analytical techniques and programming languages to explore extensive data sets, uncovering patterns in customer behavior, store performance, and competitor pricing strategies (including predictive modeling and clustering). Collaborate with team members to influence strategic decisions, generating accurate financial forecasts derived from a deep analysis of customer behavior. You'll provide actionable recommendations aimed at optimizing customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value. Communicate your insights effectively, transforming complex data analyses into clear, actionable business strategies across the organization. Develop engaging reports and dashboards, creating compelling data visualizations that illustrate changes in customer behavior and spending patterns. Participate in long-term projects from inception to execution, working alongside various cross-functional teams such as IT, Merchandising, and Marketing. Act as a liaison with the data science team, providing insights on how to optimize advanced modeling techniques and machine learning algorithms to meet our business objectives. Exhibit a strong desire for continuous learning and creativity in solving important business challenges, pushing the boundaries of our capabilities. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, math, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred. A minimum of one year of experience in analytics or statistics; two years is ideal. Proficiency in statistical programming languages (R is essential; experience with Python and SAS is a plus). Experience in constructing large data sets from diverse sources (SQL, Hive, Hadoop). Strong desire to master new analytic techniques and data manipulation skills. Highly developed presentation skills (PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, R packages). Experience in pricing, merchandising, marketing, and retail is strongly preferred. Ability to think conceptually and creatively when addressing problems. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, necessary for engaging with senior management. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. This role may evolve based on company and team priorities, and additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
