Job Description Summary Join our dynamic team! As a Supplier Quality Operations Manager for Forgings and Materials, you will be instrumental in enhancing our quality metrics and driving effective improvement initiatives within GE Aerospace's Quality Systems. You will lead projects and work collaboratively to resolve quality escapes, CIDs, SPRs, and manage key processes. Your expertise will be vital in preparing action plans, monitoring supplier metrics, and facilitating CAPA closures while utilizing supplier scorecards. Be part of a proactive environment focused on quality excellence. Role and Responsibilities Oversee business metrics related to forgings and materials. Collaborate with Quality Managers to support Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) and suppliers, driving improvements in metrics. Mentor and develop team members in Supplier Quality and Quality Management roles. Utilize Zero Defects principles to create and manage actionable plans aiming to hit key quality metrics. Establish and enforce supplier quality standards and processes for forgings and materials. Evaluate supplier performance and ensure adherence to GE Aerospace's quality requirements. Conduct supplier audits and assessments to pinpoint areas for risk mitigation and improvement opportunities. Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues associated with suppliers. Work closely with suppliers to address non-conformances and ensure preventative measures are in place. Continuous Improvement: Champion Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to boost supplier quality and minimize defects. Collaborate with suppliers on process enhancements to elevate product quality. Engage with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams to ensure quality standards are uniformly applied. Support new product introductions (NPI) by confirming supplier readiness and capability. Ensure suppliers comply with industry standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001. Maintain comprehensive documentation of supplier quality metrics and corrective actions. Identify risks in the supply chain concerning forgings and materials and develop contingency plans to counter potential disruptions. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 15%. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with at least 4 years of quality or sourcing experience, or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years in quality or sourcing. Desired Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven interpersonal and leadership abilities. Demonstrated skill in problem analysis and resolution. Experience leading programs and projects successfully. Strong organizational skills in documentation, planning, and program execution. Adept in project management methodologies. Familiarity with GE Quality IT systems. Knowledge of GE Quality Specifications and non-conformance resolution processes. A humble approach: respectful, adaptable, and eager to learn. The base pay range for this position is $134,000 - $178,000 annually. Specific pay may vary based on experience, education, and skills. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on salary/commission structure.
