Job Overview Finance Manager - Compute Workload Optimization M2 Join Our Growing Team! Be a key player in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team, a pivotal segment of Oracle's expanding business. The Finance team is essential to driving this growth, and in your role as a member of the Workload Health team, you will engage in financial planning and modeling for our core product families within the OCI ecosystem. Collaborate closely with OCI leadership to drive business success while supporting rapid scaling. As the Finance Manager, you will have full ownership of the compute portfolio, overseeing a dedicated team leading complex financial projects throughout the product lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include strategic decision-making, enhancing financial models, and providing insights that impact business performance directly. The ideal candidate for this role is data-driven, possesses advanced modeling skills, and can adeptly handle both strategic and operational details. Main Responsibilities: Act as a Trusted Advisor to Engineering: Collaborate with engineering leaders to provide financial insights that align product development with financial objectives. Lead Financial Management of Compute Products: Direct the comprehensive financial analysis of the entire Compute Portfolio to guide business decisions and enhance product offerings. Optimize Gross Margin: Initiate projects to improve margins by analyzing pricing, cost structures, operational efficiencies, and other relevant factors. Align Business Strategy with Financial Reporting: Transform business strategies into actionable financial reports using KPIs and goal-setting to measure success alongside executive leadership. Advise on Investment Decisions: Support investment decisions with thorough financial analyses to ensure alignment with strategic goals. Contribute to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP): Work with cross-functional teams during the S&OP process to secure timely investments in capacity that meet business needs for compute products. Establish Financial Policies & Procedures: Develop and implement financial policies that support the operational goals of the compute portfolio and improve business performance. Manage and Mentor a High-Performing Team: Foster the growth and development of a talented team. Preferred Skills & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with at least 12 years of finance experience; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience mentoring teams effectively. Knowledge of Cloud Technology and Infrastructure; experience supporting engineering functions is advantageous. Exceptional communication skills that enable effective collaboration across various functions (engineering, finance, supply chain, operations) and levels of the organization. Results-oriented with a proven capability to turn strategic ideas into practical actions that achieve measurable outcomes. A data-driven mindset with a history of utilizing financial analysis for strategic decisions. Strong influencing skills, able to build lasting relationships and impact stakeholders without direct authority. Adept at thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing ambiguity, and driving initiatives independently. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, and an ability to see both the big picture and finer nuances. A proactive self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities, setting goals, and owning key projects.
