The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Lead Senior Software Development Engineer to join our expanding team. In this role, you will focus on developing cutting-edge AI applications and agents using Python while deploying them on cloud-native platforms. As a hands-on leader, you will showcase your expertise by crafting clean, efficient code and designing robust APIs and microservices that form the backbone of our key platforms. We are looking for candidates who are deeply passionate about software engineering and have experience in Generative AI. Main Responsibilities Design and implement complex software systems using Python, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability in cloud environments. Architect and develop robust APIs, microservices, and data pipelines to support a variety of applications and services. Collaborate with business partners, architects, and engineering teams to clarify technical requirements and deliver innovative solutions. Encourage technical excellence by promoting clean code practices, test-driven development, and CI/CD best practices. Conduct thorough code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and uphold adherence to coding standards and architectural principles. Identify and implement opportunities for optimizing performance and enhancing operational efficiency within cloud infrastructure. Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing, Python, DevOps, and AI, advocating for their adoption when appropriate. Candidate Requirements Required Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. 8+ years of professional software development experience. Proficient in Python with a record of building and deploying production-grade applications. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including serverless computing, Docker/Kubernetes, relational and NoSQL databases, and messaging queues. Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and alerting). Familiarity with agile development methodologies and effective team collaboration. Preferred Familiarity with AI application development frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, and Semantic Kernel) and using RAG pipelines and vector datastores (Pinecone, Azure AI Search). Experience in developing agents with industry-standard frameworks and protocols like A2A, and proficiency in utilizing MCP servers and tools. Expertise in effective prompt engineering strategies. Knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architectures. Compensation This information provides the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Pay may vary by location, with individual compensation reflective of skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Location-Based Pay Ranges $103,711 - $138,281 in various states. $108,896 - $145,195 in specific states. $114,082 - $152,109 in major states.
