Operating Room Surgical Technician

Job ID: 11409350 Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Surgical Technician to join our dynamic surgical team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring efficient surgical procedures and maintaining a sterile environment, directly contributing to patient safety. Contract Details: Duration: 02/23/2026 - 05/23/2026 (12 weeks) Shifts: 5 days a week, 3 PM - 11:30 PM Pay Rate: $25 - $30 per hour Key Responsibilities: Prepare operating rooms prior to procedures, ensuring all instruments and supplies are sterile and ready for use. Scrub in and maintain a sterile field throughout surgeries. Anticipate the surgeon's needs by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies quickly and effectively. Assist with patient positioning, draping, and skin preparation. Conduct surgical counts in collaboration with the circulating nurse. Handle specimens following facility protocols. Clean and restock the OR for upcoming procedures. Adhere to infection control and safety standards at all times. Assist in emergency procedures as required. Qualifications: Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technology program. Current Surgical Technologist certification (CST) preferred or as required by facility policy. Valid BLS certification. Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile techniques. Able to perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
