Housekeeping Aide - Day Shift

POSITION SUMMARY Functions as the housekeeper for Cardinal Ritter Senior Services. Daily cleaning of and supplying of resident rooms, nursing stations, lounges, spas, bathrooms, offices and other areas as assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department and in accordance with the facility's objectives. OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES • Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods. • Dusts surfaces. • Empties wastebaskets. • Damp-wipes clean all furniture. • Vacuums carpets for cleaning and bacteria control. • Cleans and polishes metal and porcelain fixtures in bathrooms. • Dust mops and wet mops floors of rooms and offices. • Spot cleans walls, windows and polishes metal surfaces. • Replenishes room supplies. • Cleans beds and performs checkout cleaning as assigned. • Spot cleans carpets as assigned. • Assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or on request. • Maintains assigned equipment for cleanliness and have repairs made when needed. • Observes and reports the need for repairs to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures. • In case of fire or other internal disaster or community disaster, performs duties as assigned. • Completes supplied checklists daily for verification of completion of assigned duties. • Performs other duties as assigned.SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED • Vacuuming carpet • Dusting and mopping • Knowledge of infection control • Knowledge of hand hygiene • Knowledge of enhanced barrier precautions • Must be dependable and thorough worker • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays • Must be able to perform the essential physical/mental requirements of the positionMedical, dental and vision insurance; Paid life insurance; Long-term disability insurance; Flexible spending account; 403(b) with company match; Holiday pay; Paid time off (vacation and personal days); Paid sick days; Paid parental leave; Wellness perks; Coworker appreciation days; Learning and development resources; And much more!Cardinal Ritter Senior Services does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in the admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its federally assisted programs and activities.
