We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the development of Coinbase's work execution and collaboration platform portfolio, including tools such as Jira, Linear, Asana, Slack, and more. In this role, you will optimize how work is planned, communicated, tracked, and delivered at Coinbase. You’ll develop and govern the strategy and roadmap for this ecosystem, ensuring our task and communication platforms function cohesively, balancing team autonomy with organizational alignment, minimizing context switching and noise, while enhancing delivery transparency and focus time. Key Responsibilities: Develop and oversee the strategy, roadmap, and governance of Coinbase's collaborative work management (CWM) and collaboration platforms (Jira, Linear, Asana, Slack, etc.), ensuring their cohesive operation that balances team autonomy with organizational alignment, reduces context switching, and boosts execution speed and visibility. Facilitate structured discovery alongside Engineering, Product, Design, Operations, and other teams to uncover workflow bottlenecks and collaboration friction. Establish metrics and dashboards to measure velocity, delivery predictability, collaboration health, and documentation/search adoption, utilizing these insights to refine execution models and platform investments. Define and enhance an asynchronous-first collaboration model that minimizes low-value communication, increases signal clarity, and connects discussions to appropriate work artifacts (tickets, documents, dashboards) across various tools. Collaborate with enterprise search and knowledge platforms (e.g., Glean, Confluence/Docs) to make searching before asking the default behavior. Create and sustain a cross-platform center of excellence for work management and collaboration, complete with clear standards, streamlined processes, training, and governance across tools like Jira, Linear, Asana, and Slack. Design Day One onboarding experiences for Slack and work management that guide new employees to essential channels, projects, and playbooks, accelerating their time to productivity. Lead change management and enablement efforts for introducing new tools, standards, and processes, ensuring smooth transitions while minimizing disruptions and providing clear, authoritative documentation to assist teams in adopting established pathways. Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in managing or driving a portfolio of work management and/or collaboration platforms (e.g., Jira, Linear, Asana, Slack), including the development of strategy, governance, and cross-tool standards tailored for various team contexts and methodologies. Proven track record of enhancing team productivity, cycle times, delivery predictability, or collaboration health through tool, workflow, and behavioral modifications. Experience engaging with various personas (engineers, designers, product managers, operations, support) with a strong empathy for their daily workflows, enabling you to create solutions that truly elevate their experience. Ability to influence without authority, successfully facilitating the adoption of new tools and practices among skeptical or change-resistant teams and leaders. A data-driven mindset for decision-making; comfortable defining KPIs, creating or collaborating on dashboards, analyzing workflow and collaboration metrics, and presenting findings and trade-offs to leadership. Exceptional product writing and stakeholder communication skills; your documentation, PRDs, and guidance will eliminate ambiguity, standardize processes, and promote scalable self-service. Preferred Qualifications: Technical background or experience working closely with engineering teams, familiar with the software development lifecycle, DevOps practices, API integrations, and workflow automation tools. Extensive experience with Slack administration, APIs, workflows/automation, and app integrations—preferably including AI-driven features (e.g., intelligent routing, summarization, task extraction, or predictive insights). Hands-on experience with knowledge management and enterprise search platforms (e.g., Glean, Confluence, Notion), shipping automations, integrations, and bots that significantly reduce unnecessary work. History of managing collaboration and work management tools at scale (5,000-10,000+ users) across remote and globally distributed teams. Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility, alongside benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
