We are seeking a passionate Junior Electrical Engineer who is eager to engage in dynamic projects that power the heart of our clients' businesses. Delight in the opportunity to work on innovative projects, including state-of-the-art steel and aluminum manufacturing facilities and various industrial and manufacturing endeavors. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills by being accountable for the schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks while becoming familiar with client expectations, project scope, budget, and timelines. As part of a collaborative team, you will contribute to the development of single line diagrams, electric room layouts, cable tray designs, cable schedules, duct bank designs, installation details, as well as grounding, lighting, and power plans. You will also engage in more complex aspects of the design process and collaborate directly with various disciplines. Your team will work closely with clients to define design requirements and produce comprehensive construction documents. Additionally, you will be involved in the overall project planning from concept through construction and into commissioning. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn electrical design fundamentals, including: The National Electric Code (NEC) Grounding Lighting and receptacles Wiring methods such as conduit and cable tray design How to size and select cables Selecting overcurrent devices How to size transformers Motor lists and load summaries for power system design Basics of drafting and contributing to drawing development Bring your curiosity, ability to multi-task, and collaborative spirit. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this role Preferred qualifications include: Engineer in Training (EIT) certification Familiarity with Revit or BIM software Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, eagerness to learn, and a desire to collaborate A passion for buildings and construction Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
