Job Description Gpac is excited to partner with a leading national company in search of a Second Shift Maintenance Supervisor to become a vital member of their dynamic team in a USDA food manufacturing facility. In this hands-on role, you will lead a dedicated maintenance team responsible for performing preventative and routine maintenance tasks. You will troubleshoot issues, repair production and facility equipment, and ensure that all equipment operates at peak efficiency and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and troubleshoot machinery, ensuring effective breakdown and preparation for daily production. Conduct regular preventative maintenance, including daily and weekly inspections of machinery components. Develop and oversee maintenance budgets, addressing both major and minor line improvements. Schedule and manage maintenance staff, providing guidance and support. Assess employee performance, collaborating with the Plant Manager on personnel decisions. Take on additional responsibilities as required. Maintain availability for overtime and on-call emergency situations, including weekends as necessary. Qualifications: At least 4 years of experience in food production or facility maintenance, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory position. Proficient in reading schematics and understanding complex electrical and mechanical systems. Experience with SQF or other GFSI certification programs is highly desirable. College degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience. A team-oriented individual with a strong ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes. Advanced mechanical and electrical skills required. Ability to use power tools and handle both high and low voltages; personal tools are necessary. Familiarity with equipment such as Weber Slicers, Thermoformers, Multi-Vac Tray Sealers, Flow wrappers, Labelers, and Ink Jet Printers. Capable of reading engineering schematics, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams. Experience in welding and basic carpentry is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of personnel. Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
