Position Overview JOB TITLE: Wireless Communications Specialist DEPARTMENT: Operations REPORTS TO: Market Manager or Project Foreman SUMMARY: As a Wireless Communications Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of wireless communication systems. You will work closely with team leaders to conduct site assessments, follow construction drawings, and complete necessary documentation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Install antennas and electronic equipment in accordance with iBwave and construction specifications. Effectively use hand tools, man-lifts, and testing equipment for cable and equipment installations. Document and submit test results for contractor installations promptly. Maintain clear communication with the market manager and team members throughout projects. Utilize Pierson Wireless' project management system for time tracking and job documentation. Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure all systems are functional. Provide timely project updates and reports regarding installation and testing accuracy. Coordinate timelines with contractors and clients to ensure successful project delivery. Conduct daily safety reviews and strictly adhere to safety protocols. Install and terminate various cable types, including coaxial, Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optics. Set up equipment racks following company and manufacturer standards. Operate fiber optic and RF testing equipment to guarantee installation quality. Maintain thorough documentation and accurate labeling for all installed systems. Willingness to travel during the work week (Monday to Friday), with potential for weekend or evening work as needed for job closures. Support colleagues and assist with other departmental tasks as necessary. Safely operate company vehicles and equipment, following local regulations. Submit expense reports and receipts as required. Adhere to all policies outlined in the company's employee handbook. Engage in cross-training opportunities to enhance skills and support different company functions. Perform other related tasks as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise team members as per company policy and relevant laws. Certifications: Valid driver's license is necessary. OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour certifications (preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Skills: Experience in telecommunications. Knowledge of low voltage cable installation. Anritsu certification. Experience in fiber optic fusion splicing. Stable work history. Frequent climbing, bending, and lifting (up to 50 pounds). Exposure to varying weather conditions as necessary. Work in proximity to mechanical parts and at heights.
