Join our vibrant team in a hybrid role! As a Collections Support Specialist I, you will play a crucial role in assisting borrowers to manage their loans effectively. In this position, you will interact with borrowers who are experiencing early delinquency (1-59 days), helping them understand their options for getting their accounts back on track. Your objective is to negotiate payment arrangements and guide them through alternative solutions tailored to their individual financial circumstances. Additionally, you'll provide essential support to our Customer Service team during peak times. This role offers moderate complexity, enabling you to enhance your skills in collections and customer service while gaining valuable insights into mortgage concepts. The starting pay for this position is $21.50 per hour, with an additional $1.50 per hour for shifts from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm CST, along with the potential for monthly incentive bonuses. Your Responsibilities: Evaluate the financial situation of borrowers and gather necessary information courteously, ensuring compliance with regulations. Inform borrowers about their options and alternative solutions for managing their debts. Engage borrowers through an automated dialing system for inbound and outbound communications. Provide structured repayment plans, loan modifications, or other alternatives according to borrowers' circumstances. Negotiate payment arrangements and assist borrowers in completing required documentation for aid packages. Act as the primary point of contact for specific borrowers, ensuring effective communication throughout the process. Elevate cases to licensed Loss Mitigation associates when necessary for additional assistance. Update payment statuses and address various inquiries related to loan servicing. Assist borrowers with website access issues and respond to inquiries regarding escrow and closing documents. Handle a variety of servicing functions, including payment disputes, escrow inquiries, and loss drafts. What You'll Need: High school diploma or equivalent work experience. Under one year of experience in collections or customer service, preferably in a call center environment or loan servicing. Experience in the Banking or Mortgage industries is a plus.
