Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery!Job Description:- Be part of an exhilarating journey in transforming patient care under the guidance of skilled Physicians! - Engage with patients of all ages, assessing their physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs. - Document and report observed symptoms, reactions, and changes in patient conditions with precision. - Utilize the nursing process to direct and deliver exceptional patient care, developing and evaluating formal care plans. - Administer medications safely, utilizing the "Five Rights of Medication Administration." - Educate and empower patients and their families with relevant information tailored to age and learning abilities. - Create a welcoming and safe environment for patients, families, and visitors. - Organize and prioritize daily assignments to ensure optimal patient care. - Demonstrate your skills and competencies annually to maintain high standards in your assigned areas. - Uphold patient and employee confidentiality at all times. - Comply with all regulations and the Code of Conduct to foster a professional work environment.For those in Charge Nurse capacity:- Assign tasks to both licensed and non-licensed staff based on patient needs and skill levels. - Mentor and coach staff, fostering skills that improve decision-making and problem-solving. - Identify performance improvement opportunities and actively participate in relevant teams. - Respond promptly to life-threatening situations, executing emergency procedures effectively. - Cultivate strong collaborative relationships with physicians, departments, and staff.Physical Demands:- Must be able to use hands for various tasks; reach with arms; and communicate effectively. - Frequently sit, stand, and walk, with occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds and occasional lifting over 100 pounds. - Vision abilities must include close, distance, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception.Work Environment:- Work near mechanical parts and be exposed to airborne particles; noise level usually moderate. - May occasionally work with hazardous materials; follows safety protocols diligently. - Classification (I) exposure risk to blood-borne pathogens.Required Education:- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.N.), Associate’s degree (A.D.N.), or a Diploma from an accredited college of nursing.Competencies/Certifications Required:- Active Registered Nurse license in Nebraska. - Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (for RNs in Obstetrics).Shift Information:- 5:45 PM to 6:00 AM, with weekend availability. - Flexible block scheduling available.Minimum Years of Experience:- Less than 1 year.Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
