Your Role as Senior Team Lead, Network Cabling Installation As a pivotal part of our team, you will assume a developing management role focused on leading and managing a team of network cabling installation engineers. In this role, you will ensure the seamless design, installation, maintenance, and management of network cabling systems across various facilities, including data centers, offices, and remote sites. Onsite location: North Carolina Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of network cabling installation engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of network cabling projects. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to drive project success. Develop and implement strategic plans for network cabling infrastructure aligned with organizational IT and business objectives. Assess future capacity needs and technology trends to inform infrastructure planning. Ensure installations comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Conduct thorough quality assessments and inspections of completed installations. Effectively allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to support cabling projects. Monitor project budgets and resource utilization to maintain efficiency. Maintain accurate documentation of cabling layouts, diagrams, test results, and project records. Generate regular reports and updates for senior management. Work with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary materials and equipment. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to optimize project outcomes. Ensure all installations adhere to safety protocols and compliance standards. Identify opportunities for enhancing processes, automation, and operational efficiency. Qualifications for Success: Extensive proficiency in project management principles and tools. Strong knowledge of network cabling standards, including copper and fiber optic systems. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to safety and compliance practices. Familiarity with industry trends and emerging technologies. Developing leadership skills for effective team management. Able to navigate challenging situations and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Educational Background and Certifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred certifications include BICSI RCDD and Cisco CCNA. Required Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within an IT services organization. Significant experience in network cabling installation. Developing experience in managing field cabling installation engineers. Compensation for this role ranges from $25 to $42 per hour, reflecting the minimum and maximum target compensation across all US locations. The actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
