Summary: The Project Controls Manager Level II is instrumental in overseeing cost tracking, forecasting, contract management, and quantity surveying, particularly for Bill of Quantities (BOQ) projects. This role is crucial in driving the successful delivery of projects within solar, energy storage, wind, transmission, and distribution sectors. You will collaborate closely with the Construction Project Management team to ensure safety, timely delivery, and adherence to budget. Key responsibilities include: Cost control and reporting Forecasting and performance measurement Contract management and change order control Subcontract compliance and invoice management Risk analysis and earned value analysis Client relationship management and staff mentoring This position requires up to 50% travel to project sites, with a commitment for a minimum of 3 in-office workdays per week. Key Responsibilities: Cost Control Management: Support budget setup through standard WBS and cost code structuring. Develop and manage project cost reports. Analyze trends and forecast completion costs. Provide variance analysis and earned value assessments. Facilitate change management processes. Contract Administration: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of prime and subcontract agreements. Resolve disputes related to contracts. Manage change orders and coordinate with client representatives. Project Reporting Support: Aid in collecting data for construction status updates. Assist in creating and presenting project cost reports. Client Relationship Management: Support negotiations with clients related to contracts and changes. Coaching and Mentoring: Guide junior staff in best practices for project controls. Ensure quality checks on site activities are performed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, construction management, or accounting or equivalent experience. 7+ years in project controls, commercial management, or project management (experience in construction preferred). Valid driver's license and ability to travel domestically up to 50% of the time. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and negotiation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, job costing/accounting software, and Primavera P6. Knowledge of safety and OSHA standards. Excellent decision-making, writing, and communication skills. The anticipated base salary is $116,000 - $145,000, with final compensation based on experience and qualifications. This position is bonus eligible.
