KPMG is currently accepting applications for a Director in Accounting Advisory Services within our Deal Advisory practice. Responsibilities: Lead large-scale accounting advisory projects and offer expert accounting support, including assistance with new accounting standards implementation and financial restatements. Support clients with SEC regulatory filings for spin-offs, carve-outs, IPOs, debt offerings, and other acquisition-related filings for both domestic and international transactions. Provide conversion services for U.S. and international companies transitioning to U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Offer transaction-oriented accounting and reporting support during mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, complex capital raising, financing structures, and fresh-start accounting upon emergence from bankruptcy. Collaborate with valuation advisors to evaluate the reporting impacts of valuation events such as acquisitions and management buyouts. Build and nurture long-term relationships with new clients and key executives to drive business development. Qualifications: A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in a public accounting firm, advisory services firm, or large multinational organization in financial audit or corporate accounting. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution; CPA or CPA equivalent is required. Strong expertise in one or more of the following areas: U.S. GAAP, IFRS, SEC reporting, bankruptcies, business combinations, or financial restatements. Proven ability to connect with senior executives and cultivate new business relationships. Experience leading diverse teams of 20 or more members. Willingness and ability to travel. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
