Job Description We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Software Procurement Category Manager who excels in the procurement lifecycle and possesses a sharp eye for detail. In this role, you will develop strategic sourcing plans, negotiate advantageous contracts, and nurture valuable supplier relationships. Success will depend on your ability to collaborate across various organizational levels and influence decision-making effectively. What You'll Do: Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation: Lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing strategies, manage competitive bidding processes, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions, ensuring optimal pricing, quality, and service. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain robust relationships with key suppliers, ensuring collaboration and continuous improvement. Regular performance reviews will help you manage supplier success in relation to business objectives. Cost Reduction & Process Improvement: Identify and implement initiatives to reduce costs, improve processes, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to showcase the value added. Stakeholder Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and align procurement strategies with overall goals. Your ability to present ideas persuasively will be key. Contract Management: Oversee the contract lifecycle from negotiation and execution through to renewal and termination while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Budgeting & Financial Analysis: Develop and manage budgets alongside forecasting spend and analyzing financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities. What You'll Bring: Proven experience in procurement with an emphasis on strategic sourcing and category management. Strong negotiation and contract management expertise. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Familiarity with procurement tools and technologies. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively. Experience working with diverse stakeholders across various organizational levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Location: Employees are required to work in the office three days a week, based in the Greater Chicago or Greater Boston Area. Target Base Salary Range: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 The actual salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's skills, knowledge, and experience. Basic Requirements 5+ years of relevant experience in Procurement, Category Management, or similar fields. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required; employer work sponsorship is not available for this position.
