The Assistant Financial Controller plays a pivotal role under the general guidance of the Controller, overseeing the analysis, preparation, and reporting of financial data critical to our organization. Key Responsibilities Assist the Controller in managing daily accounting operations, including supervision of the general ledger and fixed asset accounting. Oversee and actively participate in monthly and yearly close processes, ensuring financial reporting is timely and accurate, which includes preparing journal entries and conducting bank reconciliations. Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and accompanying schedules, ensuring precise recording in associated records. Support the budgeting process, financial forecasting, and variance analysis to aid management decision-making. Prepare and file various tax returns and reports such as CAT, sales tax, and use tax filings. Utilize financial and reporting software to extract, analyze, and present data for financial analysis and reporting purposes. Contribute to the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems, ERP systems, and related financial processes. Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures. Respond to and support various internal and external financial reporting requests. Provide cross-functional support in finance and perform additional accounting duties as necessary. Position Requirements Associate's degree in accounting or a relevant combination of training and experience. A minimum of 5 - 7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a Professional Services environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
