As a special agent, your career will encompass both protective and investigative assignments, with the possibility of being stationed across the country and internationally. Your responsibilities will include: Providing protection for designated individuals and groups. Conducting criminal investigations related to the financial responsibilities of the United States. Planning and executing security strategies for National Special Security Events. This role is unique, and we are in search of extraordinary individuals. Requirements Must be a U.S. citizen Valid driver's license is required Must be able to carry and use a firearm; maintaining proficiency is mandatory. Applicants must be at least 21 years old at the time of application and under 40 at referral. Exceptions may apply for those with current or former federal law enforcement service covered by special retirement provisions. Must obtain and retain a Top Secret Clearance throughout your career. Uncorrected visual acuity must be no worse than 20/100 binocular, with corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye. Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000Hz ranges. Submit to a drug test before appointment and participate in ongoing random drug testing. Complete 13 weeks of rigorous training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA, followed by 18 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD. Sign a mobility agreement agreeing to assignments anywhere in the United States and overseas.
