Join our compassionate rehabilitation team as a full-time or part-time Rehabilitation Speech Specialist. As a Rehabilitation Speech Specialist, you will assess and treat residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. What You'll Do Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to residents' needs and goals. Provide therapy interventions, including compensatory techniques, exercises, and alternative communication strategies. Educate residents, families, and staff on effective communication and swallowing management strategies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective care. Monitor residents' progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document outcomes accurately. Maintain documentation in compliance with regulatory and facility guidelines. Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the success of the rehabilitation department. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current and valid Speech-Language Pathologist license. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings is a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a resident-centered approach. Proficient in documentation and the use of electronic medical records (EMRs).
