Training Assistant Manager Position The Training Assistant Manager plays a vital role in guiding store staff to deliver an exceptional guest experience by focusing on effective merchandising, pricing, and ensuring the store is clean and organized. In the absence of the Store Manager, the Training Assistant Manager is responsible for stepping into the Store Manager's role, ensuring all company policies are followed, including loss prevention and brand standards. Key Responsibilities: Ensure every guest enjoys outstanding service by creating a welcoming environment, greeting them, and encouraging staff to do the same. Implement True North Ready duties and oversee that all shifts meet the True North Ready Standards. Stay informed about monthly promotions, sale items, and advertisements, and effectively communicate these details to the team. Complete monthly blitz execution as required. Receive vendor deliveries and verify the accuracy of inventory and pricing. Address compliance issues among staff, collaborating with the Store Manager when necessary. Review surveillance footage to confirm adherence to policies during all shifts. Assist in recruiting, training, and developing new and existing staff. Effectively resolve guest complaints and escalate to the Store Manager when needed. Audit daily shift reports, correcting discrepancies and providing training or retraining as necessary. Conduct competitor price surveys and implement price changes. Generate daily reports, reconcile shift sheets, complete e-store reporting, and manage bank deposits. Perform seasonal tasks such as clearing snow from walkways and painting both interior and exterior surfaces as needed. Essential Skills and Requirements: Ability to supervise, inspire, and motivate a team. Proficiency in processing transactions and managing merchandise through EPOS, including report retrieval and credit card processing. Clear communication skills for interaction with staff and guests. Calmness and composure in emergency situations. Ability to read, count, and write for accurate store operations management. Responsible for bank deposit transport. Accessibility to all areas of the store, including coolers and stockrooms. Capability to work in cold conditions for extended periods while stocking and cleaning coolers. Ability to move or handle merchandise, typically weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Willingness to stand for long periods, up to 8 hours. Flexible availability to work various shifts, primarily opposite the Store Manager, including early, late, and occasionally night shifts. Minimum Qualifications: Valid Driver's License required. High School Diploma or equivalent necessary. Must have a vehicle for banking responsibilities. Preferred prior experience in supervising others.
