If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love driving versatile equipment such as flatbeds, tanker trucks, or refrigerated trailers, this position is your next exciting career move!ResponsibilitiesSafely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, flatbed, step deck, and tanker to transport freight across regional or national routesConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement equipmentPlan efficient routes for timely deliveries while adhering to all federal and state transportation regulationsDeliver freight accurately and professionally, maintaining communication with dispatchers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered on routeAssist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, ensuring proper handling of sensitive or heavy freight such as refrigerated goods or tankersMaintain detailed logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulationsQualificationsValid CDL Class A license with a clean driving recordProven experience operating tractor-trailers with manual transmissions in various configurations including flatbeds, step decks, tankersStrong knowledge of freight handling procedures and load securement techniques for flatbed and specialized trailersAbility to drive safely over long distances while managing route schedules effectivelyExcellent communication skills for coordinating deliveries and reporting issues promptlyPhysical ability to load/unload freight manually or with equipment; comfort working in outdoor environments in various weather conditionsMust have tanker endorsement or be willing to obtain within 90 days of employment.Need a minimum of 2 years verifiable open deck experience.Must be willing to tarp, chain, and strap.Not guaranteed to be home every night.Could get drivers home weekends which is up to the drivers discretion.Willingness to do oversized loads.Twic card required.
