This position is pivotal in steering the successful delivery of complex, high-value Ops construction projects. As part of a dynamic and growing team, you will collaborate with a group of skilled Construction category managers while closely partnering with Pre-Construction, Design and Construction, World Wide Real-Estate, and World Wide Design to craft and implement effective category sourcing strategies. Your expertise will help deliver savings and enhance productivity within the category. Your Responsibilities: Lead strategies for General Contractors and suppliers on construction projects, collaborating with a cross-functional team to deliver complex, multi-million-dollar sites. Identify and develop long-term sourcing strategies, driving key initiatives with cross-functional teams and preparing category roadmaps in conjunction with senior leadership. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful site launches aligned with construction programs, particularly during peak seasons. Accountable for individual targets and goals within the North America General Contractor construction category while identifying opportunities for process and system improvements. Oversee supplier sourcing, contracting, and ongoing collaboration until project completion, while fostering strong commercial relationships aimed at optimizing cost and performance. Manage supplier performance and enhance sustainability and social responsibility initiatives. Contribute to the development of Key Performance Indicators and setting targets for the team. Conduct audits to track progress and ensure we are meeting customer expectations. Provide market intelligence regarding categories; proactively identify strategic opportunities and keep key stakeholders informed. Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed. A Day in the Life: Source and deliver innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable construction equipment/services that empower our Operations teams in delighting Amazon.com customers. Collaborate with both external suppliers and internal teams across Design & Construction, Operations Engineering, Workplace Health & Safety, and Finance. Adapt to various roles from strategy development to project management to meet evolving customer needs swiftly and effectively. Engage deeply with categories to unlock value and support the deployment of emerging technologies at scale within Operations. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in program or project management. 5+ years of experience working cross-functionally with both tech and non-tech teams. 3+ years applying data and metrics to define and implement process improvement initiatives. 3+ years of supply chain experience. Bachelor's degree. Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL. Proven experience in defining program requirements and utilizing data/metrics for improvements. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years driving end-to-end delivery and presenting results to senior leadership. 5+ years of experience in process improvements. Adept at stakeholder management, engaging with various stakeholders at different organizational levels. Experience in process development, project management, and scheduling. The compensation for this position varies based on location, experience, and qualifications. As part of your Amazon package, you will receive sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs), alongside a comprehensive benefits package inclusive of health insurance, 401(k) matching, and generous paid time off. Location-specific base salary ranges: Nashville - 77,200.00 - 115,800.00 USD annually; Houston - 85,800.00 - 128,600.00 USD annually; Arlington - 85,800.00 - 128,600.00 USD annually; Bellevue - 85,800.00 - 128,600.00 USD annually.
