Purpose of Role We are searching for a proactive and motivated Lead Data Governance Specialist to spearhead our data management and quality initiatives. In this essential role, you will be part of a results-driven team responsible for establishing and implementing our data governance program to enhance decision-making capabilities. You will work closely with both functional and technical leaders to ensure excellence in data quality and governance practices. Your Impact Oversee the entire data quality lifecycle, identify issues, assess the costs of poor quality, create and validate rules, and perform root cause analyses. Ensure prompt and effective resolution of data quality issues through collaboration and proactive escalation management. Lead complex projects aimed at improving data quality, governance maturity, and stakeholder engagement. Regularly monitor and report on key data quality metrics and governance KPIs to promote continuous improvement. Assist in implementing and maintaining enterprise data catalog solutions, ensuring accurate and accessible metadata. Facilitate and lead data governance community forums to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing. Collaborate with data owners and technical teams to establish best practices for data governance across assigned domains. Help create and refine data governance policies, standards, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives. Create and maintain vital documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, data flow diagrams, and metadata definitions. Perform maintenance of master records as necessary. Take on additional responsibilities related to data governance and quality as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience in data quality, governance, or analytics, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or 9 years of relevant work experience without a degree. Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams, especially in diverse data environments. Strong communicator who can convey the strategic importance of data integrity and governance to both technical and business stakeholders. Advanced SQL skills and experience with large, complex datasets. Ability to design and implement dashboards and KPIs to track data quality effectively. Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, adept at tailoring messages for various audiences. A pragmatic, analytical problem-solver focused on finding solutions. A self-motivated leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and can work independently. Relocation No relocation provided Base Compensation $80,628.80 - $100,786.00 USD Most new hires start within this range, with opportunities for growth over time.
