Overview GovCIO is thrilled to announce an opening for a Logistics Engineering Support Specialist to improve our asset management, procurement, and logistical operations. This role offers the flexibility of remote work opportunities from within the United States, specifically based in Fayetteville, NC. Responsibilities As an integral member of our logistics team, you will: Support logistics functions by developing requisitions and maintaining records of equipment, repair parts, and manuals. Track logistics materials and parts to optimize storage and allocation. Evaluate configuration changes to understand their impacts on logistics deployments. Document the condition of equipment, components, and parts systematically. Identify essential logistics support documentation such as technical manuals. Assist in formulating maintenance engineering and logistics support strategies. Source, negotiate, and procure equipment and materials to ensure organizational effectiveness. Compile and analyze data on market trends and manufacturing processes. Ensure timely delivery and reconciliation of purchases by following up on orders. Analyze contracts, specifications, and design changes to plan logistics program activities effectively. Collaborate with subcontractors, production, and field service personnel to meet contractual commitments. Compile data for standardizing parts, facilitating seamless logistics activities. Develop logistic support plans that consider environmental factors affecting personnel. Create handbooks, bulletins, and information systems to enhance logistics support processes. Maintain thorough records of goods and services ordered and received. Qualifications Successful candidates will possess a high school diploma along with 6 to 9 years of relevant experience or equivalent expertise. Required Skills and Experience Clearance Required: TS with SCI eligibility. Valid U.S. Passport and Driver's License. Demonstrated experience in developing purchasing and contract management guidelines. Familiarity with the Command Supply Discipline Program. Proficiency in Property Book Management and Logistic Ordering Systems. Understanding of Government Services Administration regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement.
