Department/Unit: Cardio Pulmonary Surgery - D2N Work Shift: Night Salary Range: $88,192.00 - $136,697.60 As a Clinical Nurse III, you will assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement, and manage the needs of your assigned patients throughout their care journey, focusing on their progress toward discharge, including during transitions within the acute care setting. You will ensure that both competent and compassionate patient care are continuously provided to our patients, their families, referring facilities, and hospital staff. Hourly Range: $36.73 - $60.93 Key Responsibilities: Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and conduct special tests while documenting care according to policy and regulations. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions. Regularly assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to the care provided. Utilize sound nursing judgment to make informed decisions in patient care management. Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Administer prescribed and over-the-counter medications as needed. Collaborate with the nursing team to develop individualized Plans of Care for all patients. Lead and guide ancillary personnel while upholding high standards of professional nursing practice. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program resulting in a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree. Current Registered Nurse license in New York State. Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC must be obtained and maintained. A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience is required. A commitment to continuous education and improvement of job performance. Knowledge of quality improvement principles and problem-solving techniques, with an ability to apply these in support of patient care quality initiatives.
