Senior Traffic Engineer

The ideal candidate will take on the role of Task Manager, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to guide various traffic design tasks, including roadway, bridge, and interchange improvements, intersection modifications, and pedestrian/bike facility projects. This position promises excellent career growth potential. What You'll Be Doing: Creating traffic signal design plans for new intersections and signal modifications that support multimodal accommodations. Developing temporary traffic control plans/traffic management plans (TMP) and signing, pavement marking plans. Designing streetlight plans and conducting photometric analysis using Agi32. Preparing technical reports for IJR/IMR and conducting traffic/safety/road diet studies. Designing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) plans. Calculating quantities and compiling PS&E packages for highway design projects. Assisting in the creation of conceptual intersection layouts, schematics, signal timings, and engineering reports. Supervising and mentoring junior engineers. Participating in project meetings with clients. What You Need to Have: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. 5-10 years of traffic engineering experience. EIT certification required, PE preferred. Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD (OpenRoads preferred). Familiarity with TxDOT and other DOT traffic design standards, MUTCD, and AASHTO. Expertise in traffic analysis software such as VISSIM, Synchro/Simtraffic, Sidra Intersection, HCS. Local state DOT experience is a plus. Self-motivated and able to execute tasks with minimal oversight. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Valid driver's license with a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR). Why Choose Us?
