APG Mechanic

C-130 Flightline APG Mechanic The C-130 Flightline APG Mechanic will perform and assist with aircraft launch and recovery operations, preflight, thru-flight, basic post-flight, and periodic inspections. This role supports ground handling, maintenance actions, engine runs, operational checkouts, servicing, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine troubleshooting, installation, repair, and maintenance of electro-mechanical and hydraulic-pneumatic systems and components Conduct aircraft launch, recovery, towing, and ground handling operations Execute engine runs and operational checks in accordance with technical orders Remove and reinstall panels and associated hardware to access equipment requiring maintenance Ensure airworthiness and acceptability of: Electrical systems Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Propulsion systems Landing gear Flight control surfaces General airframe condition Aircraft furnishings Crew escape systems Required Aircraft Systems Knowledge: Landing gear systems Powerplants Flight controls Fueling and defueling operations Aircraft movement, launch, and recovery Qualifications: Minimum 5+ years of recent aircraft maintenance experience C-130 experience preferred, but not required Aircraft flightline experience strongly preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a production flightline team Schedule & Start: 1st Shift: MondayThursday Hours: 5:30 AM 4:00 PM Start Date: Must be available to start March 9, 2026 Additional Notes: Long-term contract opportunity Strong potential for direct hire in the future based on performance and business needs
