Pipe Yard Attendant Area Manager

Position OverviewThe Pipe Yard Area Manager is responsible for the organization of various lengths and sizes of pipe that are inventoried and stored in an outdoor area. This position requires good organizational skills, pipe knowledge, forklift usage and combi forklift usage. The employee in this position is expected to take pride in precision work, follow all safety procedures, adhere to quality standards and develop expertise in the daily operation of the pipe yard. Key Responsibilities Read order paperwork to determine the correct pipe needed to fill the order and pull from the pipe yard using industrial equipmentStaging of pipe pulled for each order in a specific area so night shift loaders can place on trucks for deliveryBring specific pipe bundles into the plant for the cutting team, to be accurately sized to the customer orderUnload vendor delivery trucks and organize material in the pipe yard for easy location when neededVarious other duties that may be assigned by the supervisorAdhere to all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment Qualifications Must be able to read a tape measureForklift/Combi Forklift experiencePhysical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a variety of positions that may require bending, pulling, pushingAbility to withstand various outdoor weather conditionsValid driver's license or current state identification and reliable transportation.Familiarity with pipe types and dimensions.
