Job Description The Opportunity Join us as a Principal Cloud Database Architect, where you'll be a pivotal technical authority guiding clients in transforming their data infrastructure. Your Responsibilities: Evaluate complex Oracle and non-Oracle database environments to drive modernization. Lead strategies for migrating from MongoDB to Oracle. Architect top-notch cloud deployments across OCI, Azure, AWS, and GCP. Design resilient, high-availability database systems to ensure optimal performance. Integrate AI into transactional and analytical workloads effectively. Eliminate technical barriers during critical migrations. Convert field experience into scalable best practices and architectural frameworks. This role merges hands-on engineering with strategic technical advisory. We expect you to work autonomously, make sound judgments, and take charge of customer success. Required Experience We seek seasoned professionals who possess: 8-15+ years in enterprise database engineering or architecture. Extensive knowledge of Oracle Database (SQL, PL/SQL; performance tuning; HA concepts). Experience with MongoDB or similar document databases. Proven track record in migrating workloads between diverse database platforms. Strong migration experience to the cloud (OCI preferred; experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is valuable). Proficiency in Linux. Ability to script in Python, Bash, or JavaScript. Solid understanding of JSON-based architectures and API-driven systems. A minimum of 3 years in a customer-facing role (consulting, architecture, pre-sales, field engineering). Highly Desirable Skills: Experience with Oracle Autonomous Database. Knowledge of Oracle APEX or low-code application development. Experience with high availability and disaster recovery architectures. Familiarity with Snowflake or PostgreSQL. Exposure to AI/ML integration within database platforms. Experience in large-scale production modernization initiatives. Compensation and Benefits: Range and benefits information are specific to the stated locations only: Hiring Range in US: $82,500 to $199,500 per annum, with potential eligibility for bonus and equity.
