Civil Engineer - Design for Data Centers

We are looking for a passionate Civil Engineer to be part of our Advanced Manufacturing group, specializing in cutting-edge industrial and commercial facilities. As a key player on our multi-disciplinary team, you will take on important challenges, ensuring the technical quality and timely delivery of engineering tasks while gaining a deep understanding of client expectations, project scope, budget, and timelines. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of impactful projects. Your responsibilities will include: Site development, master planning, and site selection for new facilities Routing underground utilities and optimizing site space planning Conducting hydrology analyses to design effective storm drainage systems Analyzing and designing gravitational wastewater systems Preparing comprehensive final grading plans, including cut and fill analysis and earthwork balancing Creating erosion and sediment control plans, and developing stormwater pollution prevention plans to support permit approvals Researching and complying with local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) regulations relevant to design and construction Utilizing software like StormCAD and CivilStorm for stormwater analysis and modeling We encourage you to bring your curiosity, strong multi-tasking ability, and superior organizational skills to this role. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering At least 8 years of relevant engineering experience, with a focus on industrial development projects In-depth knowledge and experience with medium to large-scale industrial projects Proficiency in all design modules of AutoCAD Civil 3D Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills Effective collaboration within diverse teams A proactive attitude towards learning and expanding your knowledge base Preferred qualifications include: Professional Engineer (PE) certification Experience with Bluebeam software Familiarity with Navisworks Jacobs is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
