Cooley is seeking a Client Account Coordination Specialist to join our dynamic Accounting team and contribute to our commitment to excellence. Position Summary: In this role, you will support the Client Account Arrangement Manager by managing rates setup, external counsel billing guidelines, client matter management, and ensuring compliance with billing policies in the firm's financial systems. Your efforts will be crucial in optimizing client financial arrangements and enhancing billing processes. Position Responsibilities: Review and clarify outside counsel billing guidelines. Create and manage precise billing rate arrangements for clients and matters in 3E. Develop and maintain a detailed task/activity list to track responsibilities. Set cost constraints in 3E to ensure alignment with client billing guidelines. Maintain a comprehensive repository of clients' annual terms for fee rate adjustments to enhance revenue capture. Accurately enter financial arrangements into the accounting system. Summarize engagement letters pertaining to special financial agreements. Implement custom fee and cost rate structures as necessary. Manage Rate Exception Groups and Rate Exceptions for specific timekeepers within 3E. Obtain essential approvals from the Responsible Attorney and Pricing Team for rate setups. Support management of time entry rules in IntApp Terms for compliance at the entry point. Provide thorough administrative and operational support to the Client Account Arrangement Manager. Perform additional duties as assigned to meet team needs. Skills and Experience: Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, iManage, and other firm applications after training. Strong Excel skills are essential. Willingness to work overtime as required. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting principles, billing rates, and client maintenance procedures. Basic understanding of accounting concepts. Preferred: Bachelor's degree preferred. Prior experience in a law firm environment. Familiarity with 3E software is advantageous. Ability to accurately use 10-key by touch. Competencies: Quick learner with exceptional follow-through and accuracy. Strong initiative and math skills. Ability to build positive relationships with attorneys and clients. Professional demeanor and superior organizational and communication skills. Capability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Team-oriented, with an ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and vendors. Cooley offers a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits. The expected hourly pay range for this position is $35.00 - $51.00, with an annual salary range of $72,800 - $106,080, based on geographic location, experience, and skills. Senior candidates may be eligible for higher salary brackets.
