Job Description: Position Details: $28/hour Early morning start, Monday - Friday, no nights, no weekends. Average 50 hours per week. The CDL-A Driver is responsible for operating a tractor trailer or straight truck, delivering and unloading food and related products to customers while adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Primary Responsibilities: Engage professionally with customers, vendors, and colleagues, ensuring timely and accurate communication. Collaborate effectively within the team to perform duties that serve the company's goals. Conduct all required safety checks and inspections of the tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations. Report all safety concerns and necessary repairs promptly. Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safe driving policies. Perform delivery tasks efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety. Accurately complete paperwork related to freight and delivery. Drive to customer locations based on a predetermined delivery schedule. Unload products and ensure they are stored in designated customer areas. Verify delivery with customers and collect payment as required. Secure the tractor, trailer, and freight appropriately. Complete daily records in compliance with Federal DOT requirements. Maintain cleanliness in the truck and loading dock areas. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent, 0-6 months of commercial driving experience. Must possess a valid CDL-A, be at least 21 years of age, and meet all state licensing requirements. A clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years is required. Candidates must pass a drug test and background check, successfully complete a road test, and have a current DOT Health Card or the ability to obtain one. Physical ability to lift and utilize equipment for moving product cases of varying sizes and weights is also necessary.
