THOR Solutions is actively seeking a junior/mid-level SharePoint Document Management Specialistto support the U.S. Navy's Readiness and Effectiveness Measuring (REM) program at the Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) inSan Diego, CA. The REM program assesses the readiness and effectiveness of sensors, systems, weapons, and countermeasures employed by individual and groups of platforms to meet specified objectives in tactically and operationally relevant environments. The Specialist will develop and oversee a SharePoint document library, as well as provide associated document librarian and quality control services. An ideal candidate will have a background with SharePoint, documentation support, quality control, and configuration management in a U.S. Navy or DoD environment. Typical Responsibilities: Develop and administer a SharePoint site to serve as a technical document library. Act as SharePoint site owner and content administrator, overseeing permissions management, quality control, content standardization, and usage training. Perform detailed proofreading and quality control of technical documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational formatting standards. Update existing documentation to align with evolving program requirements and operational objectives. Working with technical experts and data analysts, support the administering of surveys, monitoring of performance metrics, and delivery of data-driven insights to senior leadership. Develop, review, maintain, and publish Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) for Jira tools and Power Apps to ensure alignment with defined business processes, system design, and functional requirements. Location: Onsite at Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) in San Diego, CA. Travel Requirements: Up to 10% travel is anticipated to include CONUS and OCONUS locations. Typical Physical Activity: Primarily desk/computer work in an office environment. Periodic visits to waterfront/shipboard environments. May involve: repetitive motion, traversing shipboard environments (e.g., confined spaces, ladders, hatches), speaking or vision. Typical Pay Range:The anticipated pay range for this position in the identified location(s) is $70,000 - $85,000/year. Actual compensation offered will be based upon individual factors including education, qualifications, and experience. Existing SECRET Security Clearance Required:This position requires an existing active or interim Secret security clearance prior to hire. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance; therefore, only current U.S. citizens will be considered for this position. A candidate with especially strong, relevant experience but no current clearance may be considered, but a new clearance must be obtained prior to hire. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High school diploma/GED equivalent. At least three (3) years of professional experience with developing and administering Microsoft SharePoint. At least three (3) years of professional experience providing documentation support/librarian functions such as quality control, proof reading, style guides, and configuration management. Strong proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint and Word. Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Additional Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: An ideal candidate will possess at least one of the following: Associate or Bachelor Degree in a relevant business or technical field. Relevant vocational or military training. Microsoft SharePoint certifications. Some or all experience obtained in a US Navy, NAVSEA, or DOD environment. Experience with Jira tools and Microsoft Power Apps.
