We are seeking a polished and charismatic Maitre D’ to lead the door and set the tone for every guest experience. Position SummaryThe Maitre D’ is the first and last impression of Alba. This role is responsible for managing the reservation book, overseeing the host team, controlling dining room flow, and ensuring every guest feels welcomed, recognized, and valued. This is an hourly leadership position ideal for someone who thrives in a high-energy, hospitality-driven environment and understands the balance between maximizing covers and protecting service quality. Responsibilities Guest ExperienceProvide a warm, professional, and confident welcome to every guest Manage reservations and walk-ins with efficiency and grace Anticipate VIP, regular, and special-occasion guests Personalize experiences through thoughtful guest recognition Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally Maintain poise and composure during peak service Reservation & Floor ManagementOversee SevenRooms reservation system and waitlist management Strategically manage table inventory to optimize flow and revenue Communicate pacing updates with management and kitchen Coordinate with Events team for private dining and large parties Maintain detailed and accurate guest profiles LeadershipSupervise and mentor host team Train new team members on Alba standards and systems Ensure front entrance and host stand are always polished and organized Support management in maintaining dining room energy and flow Qualifications2+ years experience as a Maitre D’, Lead Host, or front door leader in an upscale or high-volume restaurant Strong experience with SevenRooms preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong understanding of restaurant pacing and table management Professional appearance and polished demeanor High emotional intelligence and problem-solving skills Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly rate (DOE) Dining privileges Growth opportunities within Alba Hospitality Ideal CandidateCommands a room with warmth and confidence Understands that hospitality begins at the door Thrives in a vibrant West Hollywood dining scene Values teamwork, precision, and elevated service standards Alba is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a team rooted in respect, integrity, and excellence.
