17945BRTitle:RN - ED Communications SpecialistDepartment/Cost Center:616 - Emergency DepartmentJob Description:Come Join our Exceptional ED Team: State-of-the-art facility that offers a fast-paced environment with comprehensive patient care First geriatric accredited ED in the area - Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation (ACEP)/ experts in geriatric care The Emergency Medicine Communication Specialist (EMCS) serves as the first point of contact between the HH Emergency Department, prehospital providers and outside facilities for both adult and pediatric patients to determine needed resources, optimize throughout and maintain patient safety and facilitate transfer of patient when necessary. Based on the information received, the EMCS serves a vital role in distribution of information and activation of specific care teams including but not limited to Emergency Medicine, Stroke, etc. The EMCS will also receive critical lab notifications and disperse the information to the appropriate clinicians .Part-time and Full-time positions available.SCHEDULE - 10a-10:30pm. (option to have a set schedule)The position provides professional nursing services for patients and their families and/or for the nursing department. Collaborates with other health care providers and health care team members to achieve expected patient outcomes and improve the care environment. Nurses use the nursing process and evidence based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support care.Level II Registered Nurse (RN):Level III Registered Nurse (RN):The Level III RN is accountable for the provision of expert patient care based on established standards and utilizing the nursing process including service to patients with complex needs. The Level III nurse has increased responsibilities that may include staff orientation, patient care coordination, shift charge nurse, or other unit/service activities and may assume an expanded unit role as available and assigned by Nurse Manager. The Level III nurse supports peers in the delivery of patient care, uses and role models appropriate team communication methods, and documents care that reflects the patient condition and priorities. The Level III nurse provides support to team problem solving. The Level III nurse identifies opportunities for self-growth and contributes to the development of other learners. The Level III nurse contributes to safe unit environment and operations by interpreting policy and procedures, sharing new evidence with peers, adhering to practice and policy standards, and supporting efficiencies in care. The Level III nurse identifies potential problems and demonstrates an enhanced level of critical decision making and conflict management skills. The Level III nurse participates in formal and informal educational activities that support evidenced based care and outcomes.PAY RANGE: $41.92-$54.44The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.Auto req ID:17945BRJob Requirements:Qualifications:Education: BS in Nursing preferred.
