Minimum QualificationsThree years of human resources experience; ORSix years of full-time experience in any field; ORA bachelor's degree.Job SpecificationThe official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here (.Job Duties and Other InformationDuties include, but are not limited to:Talent Acquisition: Advises and partners with assigned Divisions on the guidelines and procedures needed to fill vacancies in accordance with Civil Service rules, federal requirements and LDR policy. Ensures the appropriate documentation of such actions are maintained. Posts job openings in LA Careers, creates exam plans, and determines/verifies applicants meet minimum qualifications established by Civil Service. Makes vacancy list available to internal employees. Submits referral lists and applications of qualified applicants to hiring manager for review. Instructs hiring manager on next steps within the hiring process. Notifies remaining applicants once hired candidate is identified. Employee Administration (EA): Uses LaGov HCM Personnel Administration system to analyze and process various employee administration actions including: hires, rehires, promotions, reallocations, demotions, and transfers in. Enters actions in timely manner. Enters permanent status, career progression group reallocations, details to special duty, contract element updates, WAE hours, and job appointment update actions. Ensures that all personnel data are in compliance with Civil Service Rules and guidelines, LaGov HCM, OSUP, state and federal laws and LDR’s policies and procedures.
