Laborer Journeyman

SUMMARYMortenson is currently seeking a Laborer Journeyman that will be responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts.RESPONSIBILITIESLoad and unload equipmentErect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and stagingLevel ground for scaffoldingTend mortar and groutLift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and bucketsGeneral cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and unloading or burning debrisPlace, push, pull, and shovel concreteVibrate concreteProvide work direction and guidance to Laborer I, II, Helpers, and ApprenticeEffectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsAll other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSCompletion of two-year apprenticeship programExperience in construction preferredAbility to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggiesStrong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedbackRepetitive hand, arm, leg movementsLifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.Please note: this position description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
