Emergency Department Nurse The Emergency Department (ED) nurse is a professional Registered Nurse who provides high-quality, evidence-based care for Veteran patients who are admitted to the ED. The RN is responsible for the delivery of nursing care to the Veteran population with urgent and emergent needs; as well as providing emotional support for patients and families.
