Part-Time, Day Shift12 Hours/WeekOnsiteSummary:Kidsport staff assists in the intra-hospital transport of pediatric and adult patients as directed by standard work.Responsibilities:Recognizes changes in patient status and notifies appropriate personnel during intra-hospital transports.Assists with procedures and monitors patients during procedures according to departmental standards of care and practice.Assists other staff members with inpatient care and movement/repositioning of patients. Follows the direction of Nurse regarding mode of transport for child.Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psych/ social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.Other duties as required.Other information:Technical ExpertiseMedical Assistant; Patient Care assistant; Nursing assistant or Student nurse experience is preferredExperience in pediatrics is preferred.Experience in healthcare is preferred.Proficiency in Transport software and phone communication preferredEducation and ExperienceEducation: High school diploma or equivalent.Certification: current Health Care Provider BLS training is required.Years of experience: 6 months or more is preferred.Years of experience supervising: NonePart TimeFTE: 0.300000Status: Onsite
